1. Statement of Faith and Mission Alignment
Canadian Christian Theological Seminary (CCTS) is a Christ-centered institution committed to equipping men and women for effective ministry through biblical, theological, and practical training. All applicants are expected to demonstrate a personal commitment to Jesus Christ and a desire to grow in spiritual maturity, biblical understanding, and ministry effectiveness.
CCTS affirms the authority of Scripture as the inspired and infallible Word of God and seeks to cultivate a learning environment shaped by Christian ethics, integrity, humility, and servant leadership.
2. Admissions Requirements
Admission to CCTS is open to individuals who demonstrate readiness for theological study and a calling toward Christian service.
Applicants are required to:
Submit a completed application form
Pay the non-refundable application fee
Provide a personal statement of faith and ministry interest
Demonstrate a lifestyle consistent with Christian character and conduct
Provide proof of prior education where applicable (especially for degree programs)
For advanced programs (Bachelor, Master’s, and Doctoral levels), applicants may be required to demonstrate prior academic preparation or ministry experience relevant to their program of study.
CCTS recognizes both formal education and life experience in ministry as valuable components of readiness for study.
3. Admissions Philosophy
CCTS embraces an inclusive yet discerning admissions approach. While academic preparedness is important, equal value is placed on spiritual calling, ministry experience, and personal character. The Seminary seeks to serve both emerging leaders and seasoned ministers who desire further equipping for Kingdom service.
4. Academic Integrity and Ethics
All students are expected to uphold the highest standards of academic honesty and Christian ethics. This includes:
Submitting original work
Properly citing sources where applicable
Avoiding plagiarism, cheating, or misrepresentation
Use of AI is permitted for research assistance, but it must be noted in the footnotes
Violations of academic integrity may result in disciplinary action, including course failure or dismissal from the Seminary.
As a Christian institution, integrity is not only an academic expectation but a reflection of one’s walk with Christ.
5. Christian Conduct and Lifestyle Expectations
Students of CCTS are expected to conduct themselves in a manner consistent with biblical teaching and Christian witness. This includes:
Demonstrating respect, humility, and Christ-like character
Living a lifestyle that reflects biblical morality and ethical standards
Engaging in learning and ministry with a spirit of servanthood
CCTS reserves the right to address conduct that is inconsistent with the values and mission of the Seminary.
6. Academic Policies and Expectations
Students are expected to:
Complete all coursework in a timely and diligent manner
Participate fully in assigned readings, lectures, and assessments
Demonstrate growth in biblical knowledge, theological understanding, and ministry application
Programs are designed to be both academically sound and practically relevant, equipping students for real-world ministry contexts.
7. Transfer and Program Changes
Students may request to transfer programs or apply prior learning where applicable. All transfers and program changes are subject to administrative approval and may include an associated fee.
8. Student Support and Accessibility
CCTS is committed to supporting students throughout their academic journey. Flexible learning options and payment plans are available to accommodate students who are balancing ministry, work, and family responsibilities.
Students are encouraged to communicate with administration regarding academic or personal challenges so that appropriate support can be provided.
9. Graduation Requirements
To graduate from CCTS, students must:
Successfully complete all required coursework
Fulfill all financial obligations
Demonstrate satisfactory academic and ethical standing
Graduation is both an academic achievement and a recognition of readiness for continued service in ministry.
10. Institutional Authority and Policy Review
CCTS reserves the right to revise admissions standards, academic policies, and institutional guidelines as necessary to maintain academic integrity and fulfill its mission.
